What is the difference between a standing and an InGround trampoline?

Everything about trampolines

What is the difference between a standing and an Inground trampoline?

At BERG you have the choice of all kinds of trampolines made up of different heights. You have the standing trampolines on legs and the InGround trampolines. The InGround trampolines can be divided into InGround and FlatGround trampolines (also known as ground trampoline, ground level trampoline or underground trampoline). We try to inform you as best we can about the differences in heights, so that you can make an informed choice for the trampoline that suits you best!

Which trampoline height is safest?

We always supply standing trampolines with a trampoline net. But with In ground trampolines, you can choose whether you want it with a trampoline net or a sports model (without a net). As long as you can control your jumps, this will in fact provide an adequate level of safety. With an in ground or ground trampoline, you have the advantage that the trampoline is close to the ground. The fall height is limited and therefore safer, but do read the manual carefully for tips and warnings. If you buy your trampoline with net, it makes no difference in terms of safety whether you have a trampoline on legs or an In ground trampoline. Both trampolines are equally safe. Trampoline appearance

An InGround trampoline is more visually attractive in your garden. One reason for this is that a standing trampoline can be seen above ground in its entirety, including the frame and legs. This is different in the case of an InGround trampoline. Of the Inground trampolines, with an InGround trampoline, only the frame is visible above the ground and with a FlatGround even the frame is not visible. This is because a FlatGround trampoline is fully concealed in your garden. This ensures that the trampoline is at a level with your garden, creating a pleasing look. It's also a lot sturdier and will not blow over in a storm. With a high trampoline, however, you can significantly reduce that risk by purchasing an anchor set to properly secure the trampoline.

The difference in jumping comfort and convenience

An InGround trampoline gives you the most convenience. No messing around with ladders, as you step directly onto it from the lawn. The level of convenience is much greater with an InGround trampoline than with a standing trampoline. You might think that with an InGround trampoline the air can't escape properly, limiting your ability to jump, but nothing could be further from the truth. BERG's InGround trampolines feature technologies that ensure proper AirFlow. As a result, there is no difference in jump comfort between a standing trampoline and an InGround of FlatGround trampoline. However, it is important to know that you should not Inground a standing trampoline.

Installing an InGround trampoline

Installing an Inground trampoline requires more effort than with a standing trampoline. The reason is quite simple. You can assemble a standing trampoline fairly quickly, but an InGround trampoline will first require you to dig a hole in your garden into which the trampoline will be placed. You can either do this yourself or outsource it. Unfortunately, BERG does not currently offer this service. On this page you can find all the information on how best to InGround a trampoline.
