Choose a topic you have a question about
Is it true that only one wheel of my go-kart turns when I pedal?
It is correct that our go-karts are equipped with one wheel traction. This has to do with the ability to take turns with the go-kart. When taking a turn, the outer wheel makes more rotations than the inner wheel. For example, when turn to the right, the left wheels make more rotations than the right wheels. When both wheels have traction, there can be no difference in rotations and you will not be able to turn smoothly.
A go-kart for adults. Which one is most suitable for me?
Looking for a go-kart for adults? All our XL go-karts are suitable for adults, this is shown by the recommended height indication we give with each go-kart. Are you very tall? Then an XL go-kart with an XXL frame might be for you! However, BERG's XL go-karts are not just for adults; children from the age of 5 with a minimum height of 125 cm can already use the go-kart. A large go-kart is also great for 2 people. This can be made possible by purchasing a passenger seat. Passenger seats are often available in the same themes as the go-kart. So you always have a pillion seat to match your go-kart!
The ideal length to play well on the XL go-kart is 125cm - 190cm. The age for this go-kart is from 5 years.
The ideal length to play well on the XXL go-kart is 125cm - 210cm. The age for this go-kart is from 5 years.

Can I dress up my go-kart with accessories?
You can! For each go-kart, we have certain accessories, appropriate for the age and requirements of the target group of the go-kart. So we have different sizes of trailers, flags, lighting sets, passenger seats in different colors, agricultural accessories and different sound boxes that can turn a steering wheel into a sound steering wheel.
What are the differences between the drives? And what are the benefits?
There are two different types of drive systems, one we call Direct Drive, the other BFR, which stands for Brake Freewheel Reverse.
The Direct Drive is especially suitable for the younger target group, so we apply it to go-karts intended for a younger target group, namely the Buzzy and the Reppy. This is a drive in which a chain connects the bottom bracket directly to the rear axle. This means that when the go-kart rides, the pedals always move with it and you can brake by holding the pedals still. This is a very easy way to learn to pedal as it is easy for children to understand. Therefore, it is also the ideal drive for small children.
With the BFR (Brake Freewheel Reverse), there is a unique and patented system between the chain and the rear axle, specially developed for our BERG go-karts. This system allows the user to pedal, keep the pedals stationary while riding, use a back-pedal brake and pedal backwards after the go-kart has slowed down. Only found on go-karts from BERG, this unique combination of features is ideal for fast forward pedalling, reverse pedalling and braking.
What types of tires are there for pedal go-karts?
Tires come in all shapes and sizes. With the go-kart tires at BERG, we distinguish between two different types, namely the EVA tires and the pneumatic tires, both of which have certain properties. How do I know what tires are on a go-kart? If you want to know what kind of tires your go-kart has, check the product page.

More about thisAre BERG go-karts certified and safe?
BERG go-karts are tested enormously extensively during development. We test internally that the go-karts are safe to use and comply with all regulations, that the parts are chemically free of toxic materials, are ergonomically correct and that the quality of the product is worthy of BERG. After the development of the go-kart, external testing agencies will check whether they agree with our findings. We market the products only if this is the case. All our go-karts are therefore CE certified and our smallest go-karts are also TUV certified.
Are BERG go-karts durable?
All BERG go-karts have a Cradle to Cradle certificate. This means we know exactly where each component comes from, what materials have been used and that these materials are not toxic or polluting. This way we can be sure that the product is not harmful to your child and that we are not putting toxic materials into the environment.
Need to replace a go-kart component? For every component apart from frames, we offer spare parts. When a tire goes flat, the chain snaps or some other part breaks, it can all be fixed through a spare part. This also applies to parts that are damaged or lost. This naturally ensures that a BERG go-kart can be used for an enormously long time, which makes BERG go-karts very durable.
